Welcome

Invitation and Introduction to Greensboro Kiwanis

The core of the Kiwanis mission is the belief that the most effective way to enhance an community is to enhance its children. Give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, then great things happen.

It is amazing how many people today are not familiar with the Kiwanis mission. Kiwanis draws together businesses and people of good will to serve the community, nation and world. Its projects and programs provide services and leadership development from elementary school to adult levels. Kiwanians have helped eradicate diseases, build schools, shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, and generate millions of smiles.

Kiwanis is a place for you if:

  • You believe children are the future
  • You take pride in your community
  • You want to reach out to those in need
  • You enjoy meeting new people
  • You want to make a difference, both locally and globally

"Kiwanis" is a term of Native American origin meaning, to make ourselves known. The organization began in 1915, and Kiwanians are dedicated to making ourselves known by changing the world one child and one community at a time.

We invite you to browse our web site and be our guest for lunch at our club. Please contact our Membership Chairperson, John Bayersdorfer, at 336 - 255 - 8493 to arrange a visit and answer your questions. Hope to see you soon!
